Our achievements

Out of the 00 cooperative societies of Biswambharpur upazila, most of the cooperative societies were running the association with micro credit activities. Out of this 00 cooperative societies are listed as non-functional. Under the initiative of Upazila Cooperative Office, Biswambharpur, Sunamganj, most of the societies are now investing in various production-oriented projects along with micro-loan activities. A list has been sent to District Cooperative Office, Sunamganj for cancellation of registration of Cooperative Societies which have been inoperative for a long time. In addition, regular annual general meetings, elections, monthly meetings of the management committee, distribution of dividends to members, etc. have been ensured in most cases by the initiative of the upazila cooperative office, Shantiganj. It may be noted that an ideal or model cooperative society has also been formed at the upazila level as per the annual performance agreement.
